INFANT DIES

Duane Dale Deuel, 3-month-old son of Mr.and Mrs. Delton Deuel, 2613 N. 5th St., died at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday in University Hospital, Ann Arbor, following a five-day illness.

The child was born Sept. 25, 1961, in South Bend. Surviving besides the parents are two sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Pipps, 2613 N. 5th St., and Mary Ann, at home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Pifer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

 

Lowe, Wilbur Allen

Infant Wilbur Allen Lowe, son of Mr.and Mrs. Gale M. Lowe, 1203 Herbert St., died at 2 .m. today, two hours after birth, in Pawating Hospital.

Surviving besides the parents are a sister, Monica, and a brother, Sidney, both at home; the paternal grandparents, Mr.and Mrs. William Lowe, 1203 Herbert St., and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Ralph Gobel, Morristown, Ind.

The Rev. John P. MacLachlan, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will conduct committal services. Arrangements  are incomplete.

Committal rites for Wilbur Allen Lowe, infant son of Mr.and Mrs. Gale M. Lowe, 1203 Herbert St., were held at 10 a.m. today at Silverbrook Cemetery, the Rev. John P. MacLachlan officiating. The infant died two hours after birth Wednesday.

Infant Jimmie Hullinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hullinger, route four, was stillborn at 7 a.m. yesterday in Pawating Hospital.

Surviving besides his parents are the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray C. Hullinger, route four, and the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Long, 1427 Hickory. St.

Committal services were at 3:30 p.m. today in Silverbrook Cemetery, with the Rev. Gordon Everett, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, officiating.

 

Worvey, Sheila Ann

Committal rites were held this afternoon at Silverbrook Cemetery for Sheila Ann Worvey, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Worvey, 658 N. 12th St., who was stillborn at 12:13 a.m. today in Pawating Hospital. The Rev. Richard Fraser, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ, officiated.

Surviving in addition to the parents are: the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O.M. Worvey, 723 Howard St., and Mrs. Letha Hilligoss, 9 S. State St., and six brothers and sisters, Bobbie Jr., Thomas, Linda, Leota, Orville and Craig, all at home.

Marvin C. Jones, 58, 2713 Horton Court, died at 6:10 p.m. Friday in Pawating Hospital where he had been a patient since Nov. 1.

Mr. Jones was born July 23, 1908, in Pontotoc, Miss., and came to Niles 16 years ago from South Bend. He was a salesman for Mould Real Estate here.

Surviving are: his widow, Dorothy; a daughter, Mrs. Ben Turner, South Bend; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Norbin and Laver Jones, both Pontotoc; and three sisters, Mrs. Dewey Bowen, Elkhart, Ind., Mrs. William Foster, Tupelo, Miss., and Mrs. Fred Brandon, Pontotoc.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the Pifer Funeral Home with the Rev. John P. MacLachlin, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

 

Loomis, Minnie Parker

Mrs. Minnie Parker Loomis, 76, 1928 River Bluff Rd., died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in her home after an illness of two years.

She was born Feb. 27, 1885, in Osceola, Ind. and came to this area in 1922 from Mishawaka.

Surviving is her husband, Arthur J. Loomis.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Kiger-Halbritter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Earl J. Wickstrom, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

 

Geideman, Henry J.

Henry J. Geideman, 92, 441 S. St. Joseph Ave., retired New York Central Railroad supervisor of maintenance, died at 9:40 am. today in Pawating Hospital where he had been a patient for one day.

Mr. Geideman was born Oct. 23, 1869, in Addison, Ill., and had lived in Niles since 1870.  He retired 25 years ago from the New York Central. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ (Evangelical and Reformed) and the Railroad Pioneers Club.

His wife, Emma Mahoney Geideman, who he married Sept. 19, 1895, in Niles, died Aug. 27, 1958.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dorotha McVeigh, 441 S. St. Joseph Ave., and Mrs. Irma C. Taft, Detroit; two grandchildren, and two brothers, Rudolph Geideman, 515 Pokagon St., and George Geideman, 1109 N. 7th St.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. John's United Church of Christ with the pastor, the Rev. Richard Fraser, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Pifer Funeral Home after noon on Thursday and until noon on Saturday.
