NILES—Mrs. Antoinette Karczewski, 84, of 48 S. Fourth St., died at 2 p.m. Saturday in South Bend Osteopathic Hospital, after an illness of 6 ½ weeks.
Mrs. Karczewski was born Aug. 10, 1886, in Zabno, Poland, and had lived here for 7 ½ years, coming from Chicago. Her husband, Melvin, died in September, 1941. She was a member of the Polish National Alliance.
Survivors include a son, Carl (Indreh) of Niles and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Pifer Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Tolley of Huntly Memorial Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
