LIZZIE ALLEN, 78, STRICKEN IN HOME
Mrs. Lizzie Bell Allen, 78, of 1121 Broadway, died this morning at 12:35 in her home. Her husband, Charles J. Allen, whom she married in Niles July 21, 1885, died March 8, 1939.
Mrs. Allen was born in Lawton Aug. 28, 1866, and came to Niles from South Haven in 1882.
Surviving is a brother, Louis J. Salee, Niles.
Friends may call at the Pifer funeral home until Saturday morning when the body will be taken to the family home where services will be conducted Sunday at 3 by the Rev. J. Kenneth Hoffmaster, pastor of the Methodist church of which Mrs. Allen was a member.
Burial will be in Silverbrook, with the Eastern Star, of which she was a life long member, in charge.
