ELIZABETH STRAUSS DIES; RITE MONDAY
Mrs. Elizabeth Strauss, 78, of 929 Regent street died in the Quick convalescent home north of Niles Thursday night at 10 after an illness of one year.
Born in Julietta [sic] county, Pennsylvania, May 5, 1865, she came to Niles in 1878 and had made her home here since that date. Her husband, Philip, died in 1922.
She is survived by a step-son, Henry, of Niles; and three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Gearheart and Mrs. George Heltzel, South Bend, and Mrs. Emma Tennis, McAllisterville, Pa.
Friends may call at the Pifer funeral home where services will be conducted at 2 Monday by the Rev. J. Kenneth Hoffmaster, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
