Mrs. Daisy Strait, 74, of 1417 South Eleventh Street, was found dead in her home at 5:49 p.m. Wednesday. Death was attributed to congestive heart failure by Coroner Franklyn G. Rice. She was found dead in her bed by a neighbor.
Mrs. Strait was born June 26, 1878, in Grant County, Ky., and came to Niles a number of years ago from Dayton, O. She had been a part time resident of Niles since 1913. He husband, Charles, preceded her in death.
Surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. J. Warner Wolfston, Birmingham, Mich., and Mrs. C.M. Boers, Whittier, Calif., and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m Friday in the Kiger Funeral home with the Rev. T.M. Greenhoe, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
