Mrs. Hilda S. Sward, 76, of 1428 Regent St., died at 10:30 p.m Friday n the Dor-A-Lin Nursing Home here, where she had been a patient five weeks. She had been ill two years.
Mrs. Sward was born May 5, 1887, in Porter, Ind. She came to Niles from Michigan City 41 years ago.
Surviving are her husband, Adin L.; a sister, Mrs. R.B. Moulton, Porter; and a brother, C.R. Carlson, Niles.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Lady Trainmen.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Pifer Funeral Home. The Rev. Earl J. Wickstrom, pastor of her church, will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Friends are being received at the funeral home.
