Mrs. Mary Bessie Yost, 82, of 1218 S. 13th St., was pronounced dead on arrival at Pawating Hospital at 10 a.m. Tuesday. She had been ill three days.
Mrs. Yost born Nov. 7, 1880, in Indiana. Her husband, Marion, died in 1957.
Survivors include three sons, Clark, Niles, Cecil, Los Angeles, and Charles Banks, Benton Harbor; three sisters, Mrs. Peter White and Mrs. Vernie Sanders, both of Forrest, Ind., and Mrs. Daisy [illegible], South Bend; a brother, Pearl Kirkendall, Forrest; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m Thursday in the Pifer Funeral Home. The Rev. Gordon D. Everett, pastor of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Friends are being received at the funeral home.
