Charles Mengle, who formerly resided on South Fourth Street here, died in the State hospital at Kalamazoo on Aug. 1.
Born Nov. 3, 1882 in Snyder County, Pa., he is survived by a son, Winston Spencer, Dowagiac, and three sisters, Mrs. Alfred Rood, Niles, Mrs. Margaret Bougton, Three Rivers, and Mrs. Frank Barney, Cassopolis.
Private funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday at the Connelly Funeral home in Cassopolis. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
