Funeral services for Richard John Moore, 75, of 2016 South 15th St., Niles, are 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Michiana Christian Embassy, by Pastor Jeff Whittaker.
Moore died Sunday, Nov. 28, at his home, in Niles of natural causes.
Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Moore was born Dec. 17, 1928, in Niles, where he was a lifetime resident.
On June 9, 1948, in Niles, he married Dorothy Johnson., who survives.
Moore was an entrepreneur and small business owner. He and his family started Niles City Cab. He ran Cherry Street Auto Parts Exchange. He also had several different businesses including construction, roofing and oil drilling businesses.
Moore was a Merchant Marines Veteran.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include, one son, Richard Patrick Moore of Niles; one brother, Edward Moore of Niles; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation.
