NILES--William Carl Otteson, 69, of Watervliet, a former Niles resident died at 9:15 p.m. Monday in Watervliet Comunity Hospital, after an illness of about one year.
A retired National Standard employe, Mr. Otteson was born June 5, 1901, in Tustin, Mich., and had lived in NIles from 1917 until moving to Watervliet four years ago. On April 17, 1945, in Niles, he married Lulu Williams, who survives
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wesley Kloko of Niles; two brothers, Walter of Los Angeles, Calif., and Walfred of Magician Lake, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Pifer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Fr. Vincent Anderson of Trinity Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be in the Silverbrook Cemetery.
