Funeral services for Carl C. Best, 64, of 1386 Huntly Road, Niles, are Monday at 4:30 p.m. at Halbritter Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard L. Rice of Niles.
Burial will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Best died Friday at 3:30 a.m. at his home, following a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 29, 1929, in Walton, Ky. and moved to Niles in 1953 from Frankfort, Ky.
In 1954, in South Bend, Ind., he married Norma J. LaPlaunt Best, who survives.
Best retired after 15 years with the Cass County Road Commission. He was also a former employee of 23 years with Kawneer Co.
Best was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include three daughters, Pamela Krueger of Niles, Sharon Krueger of Niles, and Carla Linville of Niles; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
