Graveside funeral services for Hali Marie Burns, infant daughter of David Allen Blake of Michigan City and Lori Burns of 216 Carol St., Niles, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Silverbrook Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Smith, of South Niles Community Church, officiating.

She died at 3 p.m. Friday enroute to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born at Berrien General Hospital in Berrien Center six hours and 53 minutes earlier.

Survivors include her parents; maternal grandmother, Jo Ann Fleenor of Niles; maternal grandfather, Terry Burns of Buchanan; maternal step-grandmother, Pauline Burns; maternal great-grandparents, Emmitt and Muriel Burns of Buchanan; maternal great-grandfather, Joseph Collard of Niles and paternal grandfather, Elmer Blake of Michigan City.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan.

Funeral arrangements for Delbert D. Fox Jr., 62, of 251 Cass St., Niles, were incomplete this morning at Halbritter Funeral Home.

Fox died at 7 a.m.l Thursday following an extended illness.

Funeral services for Delbert D. Fox J., 62, of 251 Cass St., Apt. 514, Niles, are Monday at 2 p.m. at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles By Captain Douglas Yeck of the salvation Army, Niles.

Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.

Fox died Thursday at 7 a.m. at his home in Niles, following an extended illness.

He was born July 31, 1930, in Berrien Springs, and was a lifetime resident of the area.

Fox was a member of the American Legion Post 26 in Niles, the Eagles Lodge, Niles, and the Fraternal Order of Police.

He was a self-employed home builder.

Survivors include Janice Eileen Mann and their three children, Debbie Walter of Miliiani, Hawaii, Steve Fox of Bossier City, La., and Bud Fox of Athens, Mich.; eight grandchildren and a sister, Mary Jane Harker of Niles.

Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Halbritter Funeral Home.

Military rites will be given at graveside, officiated by the American Legion Post 26. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delbert Fox Memorial Fund.

Truck driver for Shipper's Dispatch

Funeral services for Roger D. Hamel, 82, 911 S. Third St., Niles, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at Halbritter Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles.

Hamel died at 5:55 p.m. Thursday at Pawating Hospital in Niles following an extended illness

Born June 23 1910, in Manistique, Mich., he was a resident of Niles since 1949, coming from Manistique.

On Dec. 26, 1938, in Manistique, he married the former Grace E. Rosebush, who preceded him in death on Jan. 27, 1962.

He worked as a truck driver for the former Shippers' Dispatch in South Bend.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Louise Heskett of Niles and Grace A. Tetzlaff of South Bend; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Heart Association.

Funeral services for Rita S. Lohse, 50, of 67016 Conrad Ave. Edwardsburg, are Monday at 11 a.m. at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, by the Rev. Gilbert Washington, chaplain, St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend, Ind.

Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.

Lohse died Friday at 5:50 a.m. at St. Joseph Medical Center, following an extended illness.

Born Aug. 20, 1942, in Detroit, she was a resident of the area since 1977, moving here from St. Charles, Ill.

On Oct. 14, 1966, in Cartagena, Colombia, she married Paul Lohse, who survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Karen Lohse of Edwardsburg; a son, David Lohse of Edwardsburg; her mother, Sitta Puder of Oak Park; and a sister, Judy Fraiberg of Bloomfield Hills.

Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 5 at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church here for Hugh T. Williams, 45, Windmill Farms, Armonk, N.Y., who died at 6 p.m. Friday in St. Agnes Hospital, White Plains, N.Y. The pastor, the Rev. Theodore Laesch, will officiate and burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Surviving are: his widow, the former Miss Estella Lork, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Gus Lork, 311 Oak St.; two children, Jeffrey and Ann, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Henry Haumesseur, Mishawaka, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Laverne Ries, Mishawaka, Ind.

Memorial services will also be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Oelker and Cox Funeral Home at Mount Kisco, N.Y.

Arrangements here are being made by the Pifer Funeral Home.

John F. Williams, 85, 509 Ship St., St. Joseph, died at 1:45 p.m. Monday, March 6, at Shoreham Terrace following an extended illness.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired employee of Clark Equipment Co.,

He was born February 7, 1904 in Niles, and married Esther (Smallwood) Williams august 28, 1930 in Logansport, Ind. She died January 3, 1971. He married Wilma (Clayborn) Williams July 27, 1980 in St. Joseph. She survives.

Also surviving are: two sisters, Frieda Whetstone of Berrien Springs and Carried Dawson of South Bend; a stepdaughter, Mary Ann Gaddie of Olatha, Kansas; a stepson Robert Claybourne of St. Joseph; and two stepgrandchildren.

Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, March 9, at the Halbritter Funeral Home with Rev. Clayton D. Fairo of First Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. and from 7 to 8 p.m. at Halbritter Funeral Home.

Snow Shoveller Dies Here
Raymond S. Radewald, 62, Is Victim

RAYMOND S. Radewald, 62, 537 Cass st., died early today while shoveling snow in the 300 block of North 3rd Street. Berrien County Medical Examiner Dr. Russell Vastine Jr., said he had suffered a heart attack about 5 a.m.

Body of the victim was found lying across the sidewalk, at 5:48 a.m. by Eileen Glassburn, 222 S. 4th St., who was on her way to work. Niles police were summoned and the body was removed from the scene and later identified by a nephew George Radewald, 122 Spruce St.

The death is the first this winter in Niles resulting from over-exertion in removing snow.

Mr. Radewald was born May 17, 1898, in Niles and had lived his entire life in the house on 527 Cass St. He was self-employed and at the time of his death was fulfilling a snow-removal contract.

SURVIVING besides the one nephew are: a niece, Mrs. Floyd Shepard, Niles; an uncle, William Radewald, Niles, and several aunts, Mrs. Emma Kitterer, Niles, Mrs. Clara Hahn, Fort Wayne, Ind., and Mrs. James Cutting, South Bend.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Kiger and Halbritter Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard J. Fraser, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ (Evangelical and Reformed), officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home.
