Terrence Lee "Terry" Linville

Terrence Lee “Terry” Linville, 61, of North Shore Drive, Edwardsburg, MI, died at 5:54 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, in Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Savanna Ga., following a sudden illness while at his winter home on Wildbird Lane, Hilton Head Island, SC.
He was born on July 13, 1941, in Niles, MI, to Floyd William and Barbara Jean (Knoll) Linville. He graduated from Niles High School where he had excelled in athletics and attended Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI. After living in Granger, Ind., several years, he moved to Eagle Lake last year. He formerly owned Linville Olds and Cadillac, Elkhart, Ind., and had previously co-owned Tyler-Linville Chevrolet Inc., Niles. He began his career as an employee of Lee Dennis Briggs Olds-Cadillac in Niles.
Terry was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Niles, and the B.P.O. of Niles Elks #1322. He enjoyed golf and was a member of the Orchard Hills county club, Niles and the Palmetto Hall Country Club, Hilton Head Island.
On Sept. 5, 1981, Niles, he was married to the former Dorothy E. Kennedy, who survives. He is also survived by his children, Jeffery Scott Linville of Buchanan, MI, Christopher Shane Linville of Niles, Lisa Linville of South Bend, IN, and Brandi Linville of Vincennes, Ind.; granddaughters, Amber, Terra, Shelby and Haley Linville; and by brothers, Larry Linville of Nashville, TN, Tim Linville of Granger and Kim Linville of Davisburg, MI. Terry’s parents Jean and “Red” Linville, both preceded him in death.
Funeral services for Terry L. Linville will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 in the Trinity Episcopal Church, Niles, with the Reverend Franklin P. Schuster III of the church officiating. Committal services will follow at Silverbook Cemetery, Niles.The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.
