Ruth Ada Sholtey, 94, Scotville, died Tuesday, Jan 24, at Baywood Nursing Home, Ludington, following an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 23, 1894, in South Bend, Ind. She was a member of the Niles First Presbyterian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She married Claude Sholtey, Oct. 12, 1915, in South Bend. He died May 21, 1941.
Survivors are: two sons, Marlon of Bear Lake and Lawrence of Ludington; a daughter, Betty Eisner of Fremont; two sister, Olive Ashire and Henrietta Thompson of South Bend; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services are Saturday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. At the Halbritter Funeral Home. The Rev. Arnold O. Schaap will officiate. Friends may call Friday form 7-9 p.m. at the Halbritter Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Niles Community Library.
