Harry S. Weatherspoon, 82, of 32 Marmont street, died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday at Berrien County Hospital. He had been ill since May.
Weatherspoon was born in Apple Creek, O., on April 26, 1872, and moved here from Galien 40 years ago. He retired from the blacksmith trade 15 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Luella; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Wolkins, Niles, Mrs. Edward VerWest, of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Mildred Robacher, of Penn Yan, N.Y.; a brother, Harry of Apple Creek; six grandchildren and two greatchildren.[sic]
Funeral Services will be held at the Pifer Funeral Home at 2 pm. Tuesday with the Rev. L. George Beacock, of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Members of the Daughters of America and the Royal Neighbors of America here are requested to meet at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday to attend the funeral services for Weatherspoon.
