MRS. WEED DEAD
Remains will be brought to Niles Tomorrow
Mrs. Sarah Weed, a pioneer and highly respected resident of Niles, passed away Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Hudson in Michigan City.
Mrs. Weed was operated upon for cancer of the stomach, eight weeks ago at a hospital in Michigan City and was afterward taken to the home of her daughter.
Mrs. Weed was 64 years of age. She was born in Illinois but she had long been a resident of Niles.
Besides Mrs. Hudson, another daughter, Mrs. Emil Brandenberg of Chicago survives Mrs. Weed, also a sister who resides in Aurora and a brother who lives in Iowa.
The remains will be brought to Niles tomorrow via the Michigan Central at 12:54 p.m. and will be taken directly to Silver Brook cemetery where Rev. R. A. Wright of the Methodist church will conduct the committal services.
Friends will be given an opportunity to view the remains at the cemetery.
Mrs. Weed was held in especially high regard as a kind and generous neighbor and friend and many mourn her demise.
