Niles―Elleanor J. Perdue, 82, of Cassopolis, died at 10 p.m. Thursday at Berrien General Hospital. She had been ill for two years.
Mrs. Perdue was born Feb. 22, 1894, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., and had lived in this area for many years. Her first husband, Volney Sisk, whom she married in 1909, died in 1953. Her second husband, Forrest Perdue, whom she married in 1956, died in 1972.
Surviving are eight sons, Gene, Wilbur, James, Robert and Lex Sisk of Niles, Paul and Gerry Sisk of Buchanan and Walter Sisk of Cassopolis; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Way of Cassopolis, 26 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Pifer chapel of the Swem-Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. Morton Hemphil of the Church of God, Full Gospel, will officiate and burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Note: Mrs. Perdue's gravemarker says and she is listed in cemetery records as SISK so she is listed in the grave search as Elleanor Sisk and also listed as Sisk in the obituary listing.
