Hold Rites Friday for George Calder

Funeral services for George Calder, 45, of 403 West Main street, will be conducted by Dr. Guy W. Simon in the Pifer funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday. The Elks lodge, of which Calder was a member, will have charge of committal services in Silverbrook.

Calder died Tuesday at 11:05 a.m. In Pawating hospital following a stroke.

He was born in Washburn, Wis., July 20, 1899, and came to Niles from Milwaukee 24 years ago.  He was employed by the railway.

Survivors are the mother, Mrs. Eva Calder, South Milwaukee,and four brothers, Roy Calder, South Milwaukee; Marvin and Donald Calder, Detroit and Pfc. Lyman Calder, Camp Rouge Park, Detroit.

CALDER SERVICES

Funeral services for George Calder, 45, of 403 West Main street, who died Tuesday were conducted in the Pifer funeral home this afternoon by Dr. Guy W. Simon.  The Elks lodge, of which Calder was a member, furnished pallbearers and had charge of committal services.
