Edward Klann, 79, of 1105 Huntley Road, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in his home. He had been ill health two years.
Mr. Klann, a retired farmer, was born Feb. 26, 1884, in Germany. He came to Niles from three Oaks 15 years ago.
Survivors include his widow, Hulda; five sons, Albert and Harold, both of Three Oaks, Niles, Herbert, Detroit and Edward, St. Joseph; four daughters, Mrs. Agnes Donnelly, Sheldon, Wis., Mrs. Esther Pretikit, Michigan City, Ind., Mrs. Gladys Bauler, Chicago, and Mrs. Alice Pfauth, Loveland, Colo.; three step-sons, William Albright, Naples, Fla., Max Albrecht, Niles and Clarence Albrecht, Hialeah, Fla.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Edward Schadler and Mrs. William Davis, both of Niles, and Mrs. Erich Wokeck, Trout Lake; a sister, Mrs. Ida Scanlon, Benton Harbor; 35 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Pifer Funeral Home. The Rev. Ernest Lindstedt, pastor of the New Apostolic Church, South Bend, will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Friends are bening received at the funeral home.
