Volney C. Sisk, Platt street, died Wednesday morning at the Berrien County Hospital, Berrien Center. He had been ill for five years.

Surviving are his wife, Elleanor; one daughter, Mrs. Dale Wey, of Niles; nine sons, Eugene, of DesPlaines, Ill., Walter, Aarad, Paul, Wilbur, James, and Lex Sisk, of Niles; and Robert and Gary, both serving with the Army in Germany; 18 grandchildren; one brother, Everett Sick, of Dayton, O., and two sisters.

Sisk was born on Aug. 7, 1874, in Kentucky, and came here from Sullivan, Ind., 10 years ago. He was a retired coal miner.

Friends may call at the Pifer Funeral Home. Service arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.

Sisk Rites Set

Services for Volney C. Sisk, 79, who died Wednesday morning, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pifer Funeral Home. The Rev. T. H. Greenhoe, Presbyterian pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
