Mrs. Pearl Derucke, 81, formerly of 411 N. 5th St., died at 8 a.m. today in the Hill Nursing Home. She had been ill two years.
Mrs. Derucke was born Nov. 1, 1881 in Disco, Ind. Before coming to Niles two years ago, she lived in Detroit, where she was employed as a sales clerk. Her husband, John, died in 1955.
Surviving are a son, Harry Powers, Schoolcraft; a brother, Noble Myers, Niles; three grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Kiger Funeral Home. The Rev. Earl J. Wickstrom, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Friends are being recieved[sic] at the funeral home.
