Eugene Hibbard, Former Employe of Paper co., Dies

 

Funeral services for Eugene A. Hibbard, 72, retired superintendent of the French Paper company, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Price and Kiger funeral home with the Rev. Harry L. Nicholson officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.

Mr. Hibbard died suddenly at 7 o'clock Saturday night in his home, 303 South St. Joseph avenue, the victim of  a heart attack.

Born in St. Charles, Ill., July 2, 1866, Mr. Hibbard came to Niles 45 years ago from Plainwell to enter the employ of the French Paper company. He retired from his duties in the paper mill seven years ago.

Surviving are the widow, the former Maude Scribner whom he married in Plainwell in 1887; a son Floyd, Niles; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Kunze, Detroit, and Mrs. Leotha Barnes, Niles; also a nephew, Russ Hibbard, Niles.
