Mrs. Mabel Straight Burroughs, 62, of 217 Stateline road, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Pawating Hospital following an illness of three years.
Mrs. Burroughs was born Jan. 15, 1891, in Forrest, Ill., and was married to Robert Burroughs in 1946 in Niles. Her husband survives as well as her mother, Mrs. Maud Baldwin of Decatur, Ill, and two sisters, Mrs. . .[illegible]. .of South Bend, and Mrs. Helen Huff of Hammond, Ind.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. [EST] Friday in the Hickey Funeral Home at South Bend with the Rev. Orlen Njus, pastor of the Bertrand Bible Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. [EST] today.
