Frank Halter, 66, Niles Ex-Resident, Dies in Northville
Frank Halter, 66, former Niles resident and brother of Mrs. Ada Perham, Niles, died Sunday morning in the Maybury sanitarium, Northville, Mich., after an illness of five years.
A carpenter by trade, he was born in LaPorte, Ind., May 31, 1876, and spent about 10 years of his life in Niles. Surviving with the sister are a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Hammel, South Bend, and a brother, Stanley Halter, LaPorte.
Friends may call at the Pifer funeral home where private funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2. The Rev. Floyd W. Johnston, pastor of the Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
