Glenn Matthews Succumbs Today, Ill Nine Weeks
Glenn W. Matthews, 59 1115 Cass street, died at his home this morning at 10, following an illness of nine weeks.
Born in Bascom, Ohio, Feb. 26, 1887, he came to Niles from Blytheville, Ark., four years ago. Since that time he has been employed at the Four Flags hotel.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha; a daughter, Mrs. Louise Boyett, 1115 Cass street; and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Brovett, Largo, Fla. An uncle, William Matthews lives on rural route three.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Pifer funeral home, where friends may call.

Matthews Rites Will Be Conducted Friday
Funeral of Glenn Matthews, 59, who died Tuesday at his home, 1115 Cass street, will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. from the Pifer funeral home, with the Rev. Clarence Graham of the First Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home until time of the services.
