Death of Col. Frank Quinn


Col. Francis Quinn, formerly of this city, but for several years past a resident of Chicago, died suddenly, of Rheumatism in that city, on Sunday last, and was buried in this place on Tuesday. Col. Quinn was formerly a well-known resident of this city, and a politician of some considerable influence. He was at one time postmaster of this city, and on the breaking out of the war was appointed to the Colonelcy of the 12th Michigan Infantry.  He participated in the battle of Pittsburg Landing, with his regiment, but soon after left the service, and subsequently removed to Chicago, where he has since lived. He is represented ot have been a man of considerable ability, and was active and energetic as a leader in local politics.
