NILES--Funeral services for Silvester Ramos, 62, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Pifer Funeral Home. He died Sunday night at his home at 734 N. Fourth St.
A metal worker at Garden City Fan Co., Mr. Ramos had lived at Niles since 1955, coming here from Lima, Ohio. He was born in Mexico Dec. 31, 1908.
Surviving are a son, Silvester Jr. of Niles; five daughters, Mrs. John Recio, Miss Estella Ramos and Miss Trina Ramos, all of Niles; Mrs. Robert Hernandez of South Bend and Miss Isabell Ramos of St. Louis, Mich.; two brothers in Mexico and 10 grandchildren.
The Rev. Fr. Robert L. Epping, assistant pastor of St. Mark's Catholic Church, will officiate at the services and burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
