NILES--Mrs. Viola Mae Weaver, 47, of St. Joseph, formerly of Niles, died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph, after being in poor health for the past two years.
Born Jan. 21, 1923, in Niles, Mrs. Weaver had lived here most of her life before moving to St. Joseph a year and a half ago. Her husband, Albert, died in February, 1969.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and Jackie Weaver of St. Joseph and Buchanan, respectively; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce A. Wiltfong of St. Joseph and Mrs. Mary Ellen Weaver of Elkhart; a brother Keith Diehl of Baroda, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Pifer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sidney Short of the First United Methodist Church of St. Joseph officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Friends may call after noon Thursday at the funeral home.
