Lew Leach, 82, of 733 Oak Street, died at 3:05 p.m. Sunday in Pawating Hospital following an illness of two years.

Mr. Leach, a retired employe of the French Paper Company, was born April 11, 1875, in Milton Township and had lived his entire lifetime in this community. He was married to Eva E. Shockley on April 9, 1902, in the Edwardsburg Methodist Church parsonage by the Rev. W. Herbert Moore.

Surviving are: his wife, and a granddaughter, Miss Lova Christman, also of 733 Oak street.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Kiger-Halbritter Funeral Home here with the Rev. L. George Beacock, pastor of the First Methodist Church of which he was a member, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
