Alvin E. Brotemarkle, 71, of 2699 Detroit Road, died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday in his home following an illness of four months.
Mr. Brotemarkle, a retired carpenter, was born Feb. 22, 1885, in Cumberland, Md., and came to Niles in 1944 from Chicago. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and Harbor Lodge 731, F.and A. M., both of Chicago.
Surviving are: his wife, Mae E. Brotemarkle; five brothers, Ellsworth Brotemarkle, of Frostburg, Md., Tilden and Rolland Brotemarkle, both of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Odith and Earl Brotemarkle, [illegible] sisters, Mrs. Belle VanMeter, of Cresaptown, Md., and Mrs. Edith McKinzie, Mrs. Henry Lovgdon and Miss Nora Brotemarkle, all of Cumberland.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Pifer Funeral Home here with the Rev. L. George Beacock, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
