Niles and Buchanan Lodges to pay Tribute of Rites Wednesday
Charles H. Boone, 46, prominent Mason and senior warden of Niles Commandery No 13, Knight Templar died of pulmonary tuberculosis Monday afternoon at Pinecrest sanitarium, Oshtemo.
He leaves a son, Richard E., Niles; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Walker, Bourbon, Ind., and Mrs. Nora Thursby, Elkhart.
Mr. Boone was born in Niles Aug. 2, 1893. He was engineer for the Hardie Manufacturing company of Hudson, Mich., prior to his last illness.

He attended school in Niles and after graduation was employed in the Clark Equipment plant in Buchanan.
Services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 in the Presbyterian Church, the Rev. G. W. Simon officiating. The body will lie in state in the church from 1 to 2:30. Burial will be in Silverbook Cemetery.
Mason to Pay Tribute
Members of the Buchanan and Niles Masonic fraternities will pay tribute to Mr. Boone who was a member of Buchanan lodge No. 68. F. and A.M. of which he was a past master in 1921 and 1931. He was also a member of St. Joseph Valley Chapter No.2 R.A.M. Niles council No. 19, R and S.M. and the Commandery.
The commandery will form a guard of honor and escort to Silverboork Cemetery where committal services will be in charge of the Buchanan lodge.
