John F. Eckler, 71, Pioneer Resident, Dies This Morning
John Franklin Eckler, 71, died at 6 o'clock this morning at the home of his son, John Franklin, Jr., R. 3, Niles.
Born in Pennsylvania, March 4, 1865, Mr. Eckler had lived in this vicinity for the major portion of his life.
Besides his son, he is survived by his wife, Flora, a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Bernice Frucci, and a step-son, Paul Swiskey, both of Niles; also one sister, Mrs. Emma McCormick, South Bend.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Price and Kiger chapel with the Rev. T. O. Lee officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
