NILES—Funeral services for Joseph William Mooneyham, who died shortly after birth Wednesday at Elkhart General Hospital, were held this afternoon.

Graveside rites at Silverbrook Cemetery were said by The Rev. Fr. Vincent Anderson of Trinity Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Mooneyham, 1910 Bond St.; grandparents, Mrs. N.L Mooneyham of Niles and Mr. and Mrs. V.E. Peterson of Whittier, Calif. and a great-grandmother, Mrs. Isabele Robson of Niles.

Funeral arrangements were handled by the Pifer Funeral Home.

Niles News in Brief: DEATH BABY GRAHL

Funeral services for Ruth Irene Grahl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Grahl, 220 N. Fourteenth St., who died last evening, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 in the Rutherford Funeral Home. The Rev. G.W. Simon, pastor of the Presbyterian church will officiate. Burial will be made in Silver Brook cemetery. The child was born on Sept. 13, 1930. She is survived by her parents and by one brother, Paul. Mr. Grahl is a Michigan Central railroad employe.

Niles News in Brief: FUNERAL BABY GRAHL

The Rev. G.W. Simon of the Presbyterian church conducted the funeral services this after noon for the 10 days old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Grahl, 220 n. Fourteenth street, who died on Monday evening. Burial was made in Silver Brook cemetery.

NILES—Larry Lee Beadle, nine-day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. David N. Beadle Jr., 1918 Bell Rd., died at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo.

Surviving besides his parents are a brother, David N. Beadle III, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Beadle and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Simon of Niles.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Pifer Chapel of the Swem-Smith Funeral Home, followed by burial in Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 7 tonight.

NILES-- Hazel B. “Betty” Bosler, 72, of 616 N. Seventh St., died at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday at the Paul Stephan Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Mrs. Bosler was born Aug. 7, 1903, at Dowagiac, and had lived at Niles since 1925. She was a former choir director of St. John's United Church of Christ and a member of the Women's Fellowship there.

On Oct. 18, 1924, she married Percy F. Bosler at Dowagiac. He died Sept. 19, 1973. Mrs. Bosler is survived by a son, Percy, Jr. of Cassopolis, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Church. A former pastor there, the Rev. Richard J. Fraser, will officiate and burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Halbritter Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the memorial fund at St. John's Church.

Cousins, James T. 1917-1971

NILES-- James T. Cousins, 1506 Bond St., died at 6 this morning in Memorial hospital, St. Joseph, after being ill since January.

An employe of Burcliff Industries, Mishawaka, Mrs. Cousins Was born April 17, 1917, in Toledo, Ohio, and had lived in South Bend. On May 27, 1944, Mrs. Cousins married the former Gertrude L. Lahman[sic], who survives.

Mr. Cousins was a member of the power Squadron of St. Joseph.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Cousins is survived by his mother, Mrs. Florence Cousins of Niles; a brother, G.H. Cousins of Ft. Myers, Fla., and a sister, Mrs. Louis Cousins Pier of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Pifer Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Wyngarden of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Cremation will follow.

Friends may call after 7 tonight at the funeral home.

NILES―Andrew R. Crandall, 82, of 315 French St., died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Pawating Hospital.

A member of the Mexican Border Veterans and a World War I veteran, he was a retired employe of the French Paper Mill.

He was born June 21, 1893 in Niles and had lived here his lifetime. On Sept. 2, 1918 in France he married the former Jeannette Sable, who survives.

Also surviving are a son Charles of Niles; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Ramona) Bartels and Mrs. Jack (Jeannette) Thornton, both of Niles; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Pifer Chapel of the Swem-Smith Funeral Home wit the Rev. Ray Cunningham of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends are calling at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Michigan Heart Fund.

Daugherty, Albert 1877-1960

Albert Daugherty, 83, died at 2 p.m. Sunday in the home of his niece, Mrs. Margaret Byrd, 709 Regent St., following three years of failing health.

Mr. Daugherty, a retired moulder, was born Sept. 25, 1877, in Missouri and came to Niles 50 years ago from Dowagiac. His wife, Florence, preceded him in death on Aug. 3, 1960.

Surviving besides Mrs. Byrd are: one other niece, Mrs. Catherine Dorn, Edwardsburg, and three nephews, Edward and Ted Schrader, both Niles, and Joseph Schrader, Dowagiac.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday in the Kiger and Halbritter Funeral Home here with the Rev. Henry P. Buell of South Bend, officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.

Friends are being received at the funeral home.
