Chester Rollo, the City Sexton, submitted his quarterly report of interments in the Cemetery for the quarter ending March 31st, of which the following is a summary:

Jan. 7th Philip, son of D. and C. Gerberick, age 15 days, native of Howard. Died at Howard, Cass Co., of Congestion.
William Eggert

William Eggert, 81, of rural route two, Berrien Springs, died today at 8:45 a.m. in the home of his son, Gordon Eggert, Milton township. He had been illl for two months.
Survivors include three sons, Gordon; Myron, Chicago; and Russell, Ames, Iowa; and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Webster, Battle Creek; and Mrs Jessie Vary, South Bend.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, Feb. 18, 1865, and came to Michigan when a boy. For 35 years he had lived on a farm six miles north of Niles.
Funeral arrangements under direction of the Kiger funeral home, have not been completed. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery. He was a member of the Methodist church.
William T. Dougan

Mary Burt

Mrs. Mary Burt, 84, died Sunday at 2:50 a.m. in her home at 530 Huron street, after an illness of two weeks.
Her husband, Mason Burt, died in [illegible].
She was born Oct. 22, 1861, in Chattanooga, Tenn.,and had lived in Niles for two years.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Paul Aston, 525 Superior street; Mrs. Ida Starks and Mrs. Amanda Lomax, both of Los Angeles, Cal.; three sons, Sidney Burt, Niles; Elijah Burt, Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Charles Burt, Los Angeles; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Stringer, and Mrs. Amanda Brooks, both of Chattanooga; and one brother, Robert Clemerson, of Arkansas.
Services will be conducted from the Second Baptist church, Wednesday at 2 p.m .with the Rev. Richard Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery. Friends may call at the Kiger funeral home.

Delbert L. Boardman
March 15, 1864-May 29, 1946

Buchanan, May 29--Delbert L. Boardman, 82, widely known dry goods merchant in Buchanan, died at 9:45 a.m. today at his home after an illness of several months.
Born March 16, 1864, in Caltaraugus county, New York, he was graduated from Chamberlain institute in New York state, where he taught for four years. Coming to Michigan in 1889, he started a business in Three Oaks, opening a store in Buchanan in 1891. He moved to Wyoming, where he opened a store in 1902, returning to Buchanan and buying his former store the following year.
He was married Oct. 7, 1891, in Three Oaks to Miss Kate Sherrill, who died 12 years ago. Surviving are a foster daughter, Mrs. O. Gaylord Marsh, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Friday
Boardman held several public offices in Buchanan and was a member of the First Presbyterian church, the Buchanan Masonic lodge, and the Modern Woodmen of America. He was a charter member of the Buchanan Lions club.
Friends may call at the Swem funeral home, where services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. A nephew, the Rev. Harold T. Reese, will conduct the services, assisted by the Rev. [illegible] D. McNeal, pastor of the Buchanan Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
