Gustave Lork Dies Monday
Gustave Lork, 73, of 311 Oak St., died at 1:35 p.m. Monday in Pawating Hospital, where he had been a patient one week. He had been ill one month.
Mr. Lork, owner of Lork's Bakery, was born Feb. 2, 1890, in Germany. He came to Niles from Gary in 1928.
Survivors include his widow, Othilda; a daughter, Mrs. Estella Williams, South Bend; a son, Edwin, Niles; four brothers, William, Gary and Emil and Otto, all of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Fritz Maxin and Mrs. Alma Lork, both of Gary; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Theodore Laesch will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
Friends are being received at the Pifer Funeral Home.
