Niles—Henry C. Korman, 80, 0f 1228 Huff St., died at 5:25 p.m., Monday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after an illness of several years.
A retired passenger engineer with the Penn Central Railroad, Mr. Korman was born Nov. 15, 1891, in Niles and had lived here all his life. On Jan. 18, 1912, he married the former Ethel H. Kinney, who survives.
Mr. Korman was a life member of the Niles Elks, the Masonic Lodge, the Order of Eastern Star, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
Additional survivors include two sons, David R. of Niles and Henry B. of Berea, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. George Andrews of Niles; a sister, Mrs. R. J. Geideman of Niles, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will b held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Halbritter Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert M. Trenery of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
