Fred C. Henderson, 87, 312 Broadway, Niles, died Saturday, June 18, at 1:34 p.m. at Pawating Hospital following an extended illness.
He was a retired medical doctor and was born Oct. 31, 1900 in Cass county. He was a lifetime resident of Niles and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of Niles High School and the University of Colorado Medical School, and was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy.
He married the former Mary G. Gibson July 23, 1927 in South Bend, Ind. She died Oct. 28, 1982. His second wife, the former Carribel (Schmidt) Young, he married July 9, 1986 in Sacramento, Calif. She survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Ann Henderson of Sacramento.
Memorial services are Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, where the Rev. Clayton Fairo of the First Presbyterian Church and Steven Schuneman of Trinity Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles.
