Obituary of Ricky Lynn Jackson
Ricky Jackson, 60, of Niles, passed away on August 8, 2021 at Spectrum Health Lakeland Niles Hospital, suddenly, of natural causes. He was born on June 27, 1961 in Kennett, Missouri to the late Anice and Mabel (Ashford) Jackson. Ricky was self-employed for most of his career and had the ability to fix almost anything. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid New York Yankees fan. He also enjoyed music, cooking and spending time with family and friends. On August 9, 2013 Ricky married Ethel A. Mbewe at a ceremony in South Bend, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, a grandson, Ceion Jackson and a step-granddaughter, Prisca Mbewe. Ricky is survived by his loving wife, Ethel Jackson of Niles; his children, Tierra Love of Marion, Indiana, Ricky Jackson Jr. of South Bend, Debra Jackson of Marion, Indiana DeMonte Jackson of Marion, Indiana and step-son Phillip Sanders of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Anthony Overton, ZA’Riyah Jackson, Yah’Mira Phillips, Jemyia Sanders, Nadir Blades and Justin Winters, Tuckers Sanders and Nikki Sanders; Ethel’s children, Mike, Lance, Chiko, Mada, Chifu, and Alice Mbewe; Ethel’s grandchildren, Mikelleh, Marion, Zamorah, Luther, Nia, Raphael, Zachary, Zar, Honour, Prisca, Josiah, Eli, Zoe and Michael as well as his sisters, Ollie Horton, Tamara Jackson, and Brenda Jackson. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 at Noon at Village Seventh-day Adventist Church at 635 St. Joseph Avenue, Berrien Springs, Michigan. A time of visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church. Committal services will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles. Memorial contributions may be made in care of Brown Funeral Home or a member of Ricky’s family.
