Kenneth E Ryder, 78, of Benton Township died at his home on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
Services celebrating his life will be held at Noon on Tuesday, Jan 26, at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Benton Township. Burial will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles. Ken was born on Dec 11, 1942 in Niles to Rollie and Emily Ryder. He was a truck driver for a long time. Ken loved to ride his motorcycle and take his boat out. He was a hard worker and could fix almost anything. Ken was a “people person” and enjoyed telling jokes to everyone. He took care of everyone and loved his grandchildren and the rest of the family dearly.
His family includes his children, Helen Ryder Largent of Port St. Lucie FL, Penny of Stuart FL, Pamela of Allendale Michigan, Kenesha Pyder of Benton Harbor, Kandi Virgies of Benton Harbor, Jasmine McCall of Benton Harbor, Lakesha Blue Murray of Austell GA, and Jason Visel of Niles; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and family friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, his 5 brothers, George, Bob, Rollie, Larry, and Perry and his sisters, Dorothy and Helen.
