Miriam M. Johnston, 89, formerly of North Thirteenth Street, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, in Riveridge Manor following a brief illness. She was born April 26, 1918. She was preceded in death by her parents Simeon and Maude Johnston. Miriam had no siblings and was never married. She is survived by a circle of neighbors, fellow telephone company retirees, and friends from her church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13 in Wesley United Methodist church. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Halbritter Funeral Home.
