Nellie A. Peters, of 1521 East Main street, died suddenly 3:15 p.m. Monday at the family cottage on Birch lake.
Mrs. Peters leaves her husband, Marion Peters, owner of the East Main Gardens florist business here, and nine children, 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Dora Griffith, of Sand Creek, Mich.
Her children are Mrs. Vern Murphy, Mrs. Robert Stowe, Roy and Robert Peters, Mrs. Roy Brawley, [illegible] of Niles, Mrs. James George, of [illegible], Miller of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Richard Luke, of Buchanan.
She was born in Sand Creek on May 12, 1885, and came to Niles from there 33 years ago. She was a member of the Mothers of World War II and the American Legion auxiliary.
Friends may call at the Pifer funeral home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. L. George Beacock, pastor of the First Methodist church. Burial will be in Silverbrook cemetery.
