Mrs. Ray Chappell Stricken Tuesday; Rites Friday at 2
Mrs. Kathryn K. Chappell, lifelong resident of Niles, died Tuesday afternoon at 1:50 in her home at 25 North Fourth street. She had been seriously ill of heart trouble for four months.
She was born in Niles, daughter of John and Margaret Leinhart Krauss and was married Oct. 20, 1907, in the home of her parents by the Rev. C.E. Marvin to Ray E. Chappell, her only survivor. A brother, Eddie, Died when a small child.
Mrs. Chappell was a member of the First Presbyterian church, the Niles Garden club and a charter member of the Niles Musical club.
Friends may call at the home until Friday morning when the body will be taken to the Rutherford funeral home for services at 2 Friday afternoon. The Rev. Guy W. Simon will officiate and burial will be in Silverbrook abbey, Silverbrook cemetery.

Chappell Funeral Services Set for 2 o'Clock Friday
Funeral services for Mrs. Kathryn K. Chappell, wife of Ray E. Chappell, Niles jeweler, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 in the Rutherford funeral home with the Rev. Guy W. Simon officiating.
Mrs. Chappell was a life resident of Niles and died Tuesday afternoon in her home at 25 North Fourth street after an illness of five months. Friends may call at the home until Friday morning.
Pallbearers will be Jack Young, H.O. Parker, N.P. Beebe, Floyd J. Wood, Charles E. White and J. Walter Wood. Burial will be in Silverbrook abbey, Silverbrook cemetery.
