News in Brief: DEATH OF MRS. JOHN PEARS
Mrs. Myrtle Hartsell Pears died at her home, 533 W. Main street at 11:45 last evening after 13 months of illness. She was born in Pokagon township, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Westley Hartsell. She is survived by her husband, John Pears, one son, her mother who is 86 years of age and who made her home with Mrs. Pears, one sister, Mrs. Charles Young, of Niles, and three brothers, Clyde Hartsell, Niles; Lemme Hartsell, of Dowagiac; and Carson Hartsell, of Pokagon, Mrs. Pears was devoted to her home. She was possessed of a kindly disposition and many friends mourn her death. The funeral plans will be announced later.
