Dr. Leon R. Ingleright, 83, of 1614 Oak Street, Niles, Mi, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday in his home following an illness of two and a half years.
Dr. Ingleright was born Sept. 30, 1870, in Berrien Springs, and came to Niles from Rose City in 1925. He graduated from the former Chicago Medical School in 1887, and practiced in South Bend with his father before starting his own practice in Rose City. He practiced here until his illness. He was a Shriner, 32nd degree Mason and a member of Knights Templer.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine; two children, Mrs. Charles Lastner of Niles and Ray Ingleright of Eau Claire; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, DeWitt Ingleright of Cassopolis and Ross Ingleright of West Branch and four sisters, Mrs. William Pletcher of Goshen, IN, and Mrs. Joseph Hostettler, Mrs. Mabel Carpenter and Miss Allegra Ingleright, all of South Bend.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Kiger funeral Home with the Rev. John G. Carlton, rector of Trinity Episcopal church officiating. Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
