Clyde Wayne Howe

Clyde Wayne Howe, 68, of 530 Gumwood Road, Niles, Mich., died at 2:22 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 1996, at Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo, Mich.
He was a Korean War Army veteran, and an Indiana Auctioneer Association member. He retired after 18 years of service with Uniroyal, Mishawaka. He was also an active auctioneer in Shipshewana, Ind. and founded Howe Tree Service, which served Mishawaka Municipal Utility for over 25 years.
Mr. Howe was born June 19, 1928, in Paragould, Ark., and had lived here since 1949. He was married Jan. 2, 1953, in Niles, Mich. to Lovonne Juanita Ross, who died Dec. 16, 1978.
Survivors include two sons, Bradley and Marlin Howe, both of Niles; one daughter, Brenda Wiseman of Niles; four grandchildren, Joshua, Jason and Justin Kronewitter, all of Niles and Nathan Howe of Niles, Mich.
Also surviving are three brothers, Joseph and Harold Howe both of Niles and Auda Howe of Kokomo, Ind.; and three sisters, Ivell Flowers of Pangborth, Ark., Syble Ozier of Niles, Mich. and Ann Street of Judsonia, Ark., and a longtime companion Fran Jefferies of South Bend.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, in First Missionary Church of Niles, Mich. Visitation will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Hoven Funeral Home. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.
