Alene Bachman
March 17, 1906 – April 18, 1981
Alene C. Bachman (Gregg), 75, 322 S. Third St, Niles, died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday in Paul Stephan Nursing Home after an extended illness.
Mrs. Bachman was a member of several organizations, including St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Rosary Society, Lady Elks, American Legion auxiliary, Veterans of World War I Auxiliary and a charter member of Niles Music club.
She was retired from Lansman Jewelry, Roseland, Indiana, where she served for 32 years.
Born March 17, 1906, in Niles, she was a lifetime resident of the area.
She married Earl S. Bachman, January 3, 1923 in Niles. He preceded her in death December 19, 1968.
Surviving is a son, Earl A. Bachman of Niles. Mrs. Bachman and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr, John D. Slowey officiating.
Burial will be at Silverbook Cemetery.
Friends may call at Halbritter Funeral Home, after 2 p.m. Monday. A rosary services will be held at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Monday.
Memorials may be made at the request of the family to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
