Mark A. Adams Sr., 60, of Niles, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the South Bend Center for Hospice.
He was born on May 20, 1959, in Niles to the late Paul W. and Oziebelle (Allen) Adams.
Mark was a Niles High School graduate. He worked for Bashor Children’s Home in Elkhart for more than 20 years as well as a public speaker. Mark was a gifted musician and was a master on the saxophone. He also enjoyed playing in bands, most recently Dr. Rob and the Reproduction Band.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Danielle McGuire; as well as a brother-in law, Joe Ramsey, and a nephew, Charles Kemp.
Mark is survived by his children, Mark Adams, of Niles, Tamia (Juan) Adams-Alfaro, of Niles, and Jesse Adams, of Utah; 14 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Beverly (Woody) Bradford, of South Bend, and Patricia Ramsey, of South Bend; three brothers, Paul “Sonny” (Pam) Adams, of Elkhart, Ronald (Carrie) Adams, of South Carolina and Melvin (LaToyia) Bridges, of South Bend; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be at noon at Brown Funeral Home on Monday, July 22, 2019, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Full military honors will be performed at Silverbrook Cemetery, following the funeral, by the American Legion Post 51 and the U.S. Army.
