MRS. RAY GOODLING DIES IN ALABAMA
Daughter of Late Roy Wilcox Dies of Pneumonia in Southern City
Mrs. Ray Goodling, 29, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wilcox, died about 9 o'clock this morning at her home in Birmingham, Ala. She had been ill of pneumonia since last Saturday.
Mrs. Goodling was the former Elna Wilcox. Before her marriage 12 years ago, she had been employed at the Bell Telephone company office. She lived most of her life in Niles until two years ago when she and her family moved to Birmingham, where Mr. Goodling has been engaged in architectural work.
The message announcing Mrs. Goodling's death came this morning to Mr. Goodling's mother, Mrs. Norman Goodling, 714 South Fifteenth street.
Mrs. Goodling's father, Roy Wilcox, died nearly a year ago. She leaves her husband and three daughters, aged 11, nine and four; also three brothers, Wesley, of Niles, who is en route to Birmingham in response to a telegram received Wednesday announcing his sister's grave condition; Clare, Fremont, Mich., and Wesley, South Bend.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Relatives here, however, believe the body will be brought to Niles for funeral services and burial.

Niles News In Brief: GOODLING FUNERAL MONDAY
The body of Mrs. Elna Wilcox Goodling, who died Thursday morning in Birmingham, Ala., arrived in Niles at 12:26 this afternoon. Ray Goodling, her husband arrived here this morning , accompanied by his three children, Donna Jean, Shirley and Sally Ann. L.J. Wilcox, Mrs. Goodling' s brother, has also returned. The services will be held in the Rutherford mortuary Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. A.R. Kuehn, pastor of the First Evangelical church, officiating. Friends of the family are asked to call at the mortuary at any time before the hour of the service.
