Funeral services for Charles A. Hartline 80, of 1603 Michigan Street, Niles, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Nov. 23, 1991, in Pifer-Smith Funeral Home, by the Rev. William Marshall, pastor of First Baptist Church, Niles.Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery.Mr. Hartline died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday in Michiana Community Hospital, south Bend, In, following an extended illness.He was born March 18, 1911 in New Troy, and lived in this area all his life.Mr. Hartline retired in 1970 as a heavy equipment operator of the City of Niles.’He was an honorary member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Niles.On Jan. 28, 1933, in Baroda, he married Florence R. Siemon, who survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Francis Smith of Chicago; two sons, Leroy Hartline of Ocala, Fla., and Kenneth Hartline of Miami, FL; three sisters, Carrie Patton of Galien, Bessie Schmidt of Bridgman and Virginia Waite of Martinsville, Ind.; a brother, Alvin Hartline of Edwardsburg, nine grandchildren 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.’ Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Pifer-Smith Funeral Home.
