Irene J Stackhouse, 102, of Niles passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Irene was born on October 17, 1912 to the late William and Bessie Temple in Murfresboro, Tennessee. On May 4, 1945 she married Jesse A Stackhouse at a ceremony in Niles. Irene was a member of the First Church of Christ in Niles and Rebaka Lodge since 1945. She is survived by her children, Charlotte Cinninger, Dennis Stackhouse and Linda Cox; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and seventeen great-great grandchildren. Irene is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse on August 18, 2003; sons, Phillip and Charles Marrs; sister, Lucille Chilson; brother Leonard Temple, one grandchild and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Monday, April 6, 2015 at First Church of Christ in Niles. Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery.
